Well the weather never put us off, shows how hardy all you guys are.We would like to thank everyone who braved coming out in such wet weather. In total there were 24 of use, who either went for a Walk, cycled, or even went on the canoes (you were seen on the speed boat too).The activities took place within the grounds of Lochore meadows, under the careful supervision of Lochore meadows staff.This also allowed us to have a chance to chat to you, and for you to talk to your instructors in an informal way

A good turnout resulted in 16 people taking to the bikes, 8 to the canoes and several opting for the walk. I have regularly heard comments of individuals not having been on a bike for 30, 40 and even 50 years. This time round, I can report that one chap had not been on a bike for 58 years! A couple aged 82 and 85 also took part in the cycling. Another chap who is a non swimmer and had serious concerns about going in a canoe, took the challenge, and now admits to having enjoyed the experience. Everyone appears to enjoy these outings, and many are voicing their delight at their achievements. A big thank you has to go to the Lochore Meadows Instructors as well as our B.A.C.R. Instructors and Cardiac Nurses for providing the right environment, which is tempting so many "oldies" to give it a go.
